Capri

After moving out of the dorms, we had to find somewhere to spend 2 nights, before we left for our cruise. We decided to go back to Napoli because it was cheap and it has delicious pizza. We only had one full day to spend doing something, so we chose to go to the island of Capri. Capri is an island off the coast of Napoli. It is famous for being a vacation getaway for a lot of Europe's wealthy people.  In order to get there, we had to catch a ferry from the Napoli harbor. The ferry ride was a little over an hour. We took the first ferry of the morning at 7:45, which allowed us to reach Capri  before the mass amounts of tourists arrived in the afternoon.

We were fortunate to have amazing weather. It was sunny, but not too hot. Luckily it wasn't cloudy, so we were able to take in all the fantastic views. It turns out that there isn't much to actually do on the island besides walking around, shopping (all high end, designer stores), and eating. There are a couple attractions, such as the blue grotto and a chairlift ride to the top of the island. Unfortunately everything was really expensive, so we mainly walked around, people watched, and enjoyed the gorgeous views.

The Next 3 Weeks

I just wanted to update everyone on where we were headed for the next 3 weeks. We finished our exams Tuesday and leave Rome the 10th (tomorrow). Leaving Rome is bittersweet. We have loved our time here and overall it has been such an amazing experience, but in the end we do miss our friends and family and can't wait to get home and enjoy all of the things we love about the US.

We are heading to Napoli/Capri for two days before we leave for a cruise out of Civitavecchia (Rome's Port). We decided on the cruise because it will give us the chance to see as many places as we can before we leave (and to enjoy the warm weather). The cruise is through Royal Caribbean and is 8 nights. We stop in Messina, Piraeus(Athen's port city), Kusadasi (Turkey), and Khania (Crete).
I've never been on a cruise before so I'm excited for the experience and even more so to finally see Athens.

After the cruise we leave for Prague, Paris, and then back to Rome for a few days before our flight. We're not sure of the wifi availability in any of our hostels so the updates will likely be extremely sporadic.
