Day 2

We were inside most of the day Wednesday. St. John's prepared quite a few classes for orientation and we still has to apply for our permit of stay in Italy. The highlight of the day was waking up before Orientation began and walking one block down the street to where Bar Lepanto is located. In the US a bar usually involves alcohol and more alcohol. While Bar in Rome means Coffee Bar. This coffee bar was of a different breed. We walked in and ordered a cappuccino and a cornetto (which is a croissant). First you pay at the register and then take the receipt to the man at the bar serving the food and drinks. Luckily for us the lady working the register spoke English and we were on our way. Unfortunately we did not bring our camera but it was easily one of the best cappuccino I have ever had and definitely the best cornetto all for 1.80 Euro.
For lunch we had a panini from a local sandwich shop we had the best bread I have ever eaten. The Prosciutto and mozzarella panini was very good and was relatively cheap.

The weather has continued to be cold and rainy and much of the rest of the day was spent organizing and getting everything put together.
